Hi, I’m Taylor Elwood

(she/her)

I’m glad you’re here.

I offer a compassionate, safe space to support you through life’s challenges. You may feel disconnected from yourself or struggling through this chapter in life. Maybe you weren’t expecting things to turn out this way, and you’re struggling to navigate it all. You can connect to yourself again in a way that builds safety and trust with all parts of yourself and those around you. We’ll focus on your strengths while working toward curiosity, self-compassion, and deeper connection to yourself.

I specialize in working with individuals who are pregnant, postpartum, have experienced perinatal loss, are struggling with fertility challenges, and with parenting. As a relational and trauma informed therapist, I also focus on stress that occurs inside relationships, during significant life transitions such as divorce or loss, and with emotional and physical trauma. My approach to therapy is warm, non judgmental, and collaborative, and I work to help you build safe, fulfilling relationships with all parts of yourself as well as with those closest to you.

Before becoming a social worker I worked as a birth and postpartum doula, and as a trauma informed yoga and mindfulness instructor throughout hospitals and agencies in NYC. As a full-spectrum doula and mother, I am committed to providing affirming and inclusive care to all.

It is a courageous step to reach out for support. I will work to understand you and your unique needs as you begin therapy. Reach out to set up a time to talk through your current challenges, and how I may be able to support you.
